Yarra4Life is a collaborative project. Getting conservation results on the ground requires cooperation between landholders, government, industry, community groups, Non-Government Organisation’s, corporates and service providers. It is a complex challenge that Yarra4Life is doing its best to make as simple as possible.

Yarra4Life has all the key players from the area working together towards ambitious conservation outcomes. A standout feature of the Yarra4Life Biolink is its multi-partner model, cross sectoral involvement and community backing.

Yarra4Life is facilitated by the Port Phillip & Westernport CMA (PPWCMA) on behalf of its project partners.

Yarra4Life is governed by a Coordination Committee consisting of representatives from 8 partner organisations, plus the PPWCMA.

Landcare Australia Limited

Landcare is an amazing grass roots movement that harnesses individuals and groups under the ethic of caring for the land. The movement has a broad focus on sustainable management of all of Australia’s natural resource assets and now encompasses individuals and groups across the whole landscape from coastal to urban and remote areas of Australia.

Through the generosity of individuals, companies and philanthropic organisations, Landcare Australia Limited (LAL) is able to direct funds to activities undertaken by Yarra4Life. The many land care groups supported by Yarra4Life truly appreciate Landcare’s contribution, which results in direct on-ground environmental benefits. Many of the corporate partners listed are clients of LAL, and it is through LAL that we are able to direct their funding to land care groups in the region.
